Double Alpha (Paperback)

Paperback. Leo Aranda is one of the top shooters on the IPSC circuit in Spain. Five years after a military operation in the jungle ended in the worst possible way, he has learned to live with it: competing, traveling, shaving off hundredths of a second. Carrying the guilt of what cannot be changed. Until someone proves they know exactly what happened that night. And tells him it wasn't a mistake, it was a calculated move. From Munich to South Africa, through Madrid, Portugal, and a national championship that is no longer just a championship, Leo and Rafa discover that the international practical shooting circuit is something more than a sport for certain people. A perfect cover, credible mobility, profiles who know how to make decisions in split seconds and don't freeze at the first failure. Exactly what someone has been looking for. Zona Alfa is a novel about guilt and precision, about the distance between a mistake and a lie and about everything that happens when the shooting range stops being the only place where something real is at stake.
