Double Feature # 1

At long last! Double Feature magazine Issue 1: Mondo Apocalypto! is upon us. The first publication from Ascendent Publishing, Double Feature magazine is a loving, literary tribute to all of those cheesy, surly, low production-valued and yet still so wonderful B-movies, horror flicks, science fiction epics, and cult classics from the sixties all the way through the years to today. Moreover, the no-limits fiction presented in Double Feature magazine is showcased in an aesthetic reminiscent of Grindhouse and Drive-In Movie Theatres! Within its full-color and lavishly designed pages, Double Feature magazine captures the entire devilishly fun and guilty pleasure of those experiences and delivers them straight to your hands!

Featuring two novelettes presented back-to-back as a Friday or Saturday night "Double Feature" billing, along with two warm-up, flash fiction style "Short Films", Double Feature #1: Mondo Apocalypto! showcases the talents of writers Chris Philbrook and Melody Alice, along with magazine founder w.p. Quigley taking the spotlight as the clinically insane architect of the Issue #1's main events: Gary Spivey Had Foreseen This, a tale of an unlikely hero in a very likely apocalypse, and DVD Extras, a loving ode to the most notorious Mondo horror movie ever set to film...that ups the ante!
