ONE OF THE RARER DODD MEAD AGATHA CHRISTIE 1STS (EASILY THE RAREST 1960s DODD MEAD 1ST) AS THIS IS A COLLECTION OF SHORT STORIES PUBLISHED IN MUCH SMALLER QUANTITIES THAN CHRISTIE'S ANNUAL NOVELS AND THERE WAS NO UK EDITION. Book has no creased page corners, no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps inside, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, just a hint of dust soiling/age darkening to outer page edges (no foxing), original endpapers are clean with no soiling or staining, no splitting to internal hinges (common defect with these early Dodd Mead books), no spine lean, no wear to board edges or to board corners or to spine tips (common with the sprayed-on color used by the publisher for the boards), no spine sun fading/darkening, no rubbing to spine lettering, no soiling or staining to front board, no bumped board corners. Dust jacket has tiny closed tear with related crease at botton right on spine otherwise no chipping or tearing or creasing, slight wear to spine tips with 'v' losses at top spine tip corners, no wear to front flap crease (just at flap crease corners), no spine sun fading/darkening (very very common defect with this DJ - usually the title lettering is found completely faded away), almost no dust rubbing to white panels, virtually no soiling or staining. Overall a N-FINE book in FINE- dust jacket (not price clipped) of the rarest 1960s Agatha Christie 1st printings.
