Doubletake

The quiet community of Twin Lakes, Texas is rocked when Susan Delgrave, wife of the high school English teacher, is brutally murdered. What sort of evil crawled into their town when they weren't looking? Homicide detective Barbara Hobkins, is thrust headlong into the investigation. A product of the "new direction" in law enforcement, her strength comes from a degree in psychology and a natural instinct for solving crimes. Neither attribute is looked upon highly by her boss or the political powers that pull his strings.
