Doug the Pug (Paperback)

Meet Doug the Pug, a working therapy dog who helps children feel safe, heard, and understood!

Doug the Pug: A Working Dog's Tale is the charming story of a little baggy pug and his busy life as a working dog. Written by Cate Archer, a Companion Animal Therapy Worker, this 64-page children's book explains the work of her therapy dog Doug and the difference he makes for children in schools.

Doug works with children by helping them feel secure and comforted, encouraging them to talk about problems, and supporting positive experiences in the school environment. A special focus of his work is listening as children read to him, helping build confidence, connection, and comfort around reading.
