Peking Man Bookshop has been selling subject collections of Chinese, Japanese, Manchukuo and other Asia-themed books, printed matter and ephemera to university libraries, private collectors, and the trade for the past 40 years. Clients include, Columbia, Princeton, Harvard, Leiden, Lyon, Library of Congress, Chinese University of Hong Kong. In addition to books in Chinese, Japanese and English, we have a collection of over 10,000 objects--letters, photos, documents, pamphlets and almost anything one can imagine on paper, reflecting the foreign presence--military, medical, diplomatic, educational, political, recreational and personal--in China and Japan, from the early 19th century onwards. Special collections include posters and maps, juvenalia, Manchukuo, Christianity, health and hygiene, shunga, Maoism, Mongolian sacred objects, and propaganda leaflets from the Sino-Japanese Wa (1931-45) and the Korean War.
