About the Author

John Edgar Browning teaches composition and monster theory at Louisiana State University. A lifelong researcher of horror, the Gothic, Dracula and vampires, he lives in New Orleans.
Caroline Joan (Kay) Picart is a scholar, critic, and author or co-author of 58 published and forthcoming books and articles and 88 popular newspaper and magazine articles, on, among other topics, monstrosity and film, philosophy, and critical theory. She is currently a J. D. candidate at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
