The Dragon's Brain: Volume 2 (Project Z)

A scientific revolution in green energy might solve the climate crisis, but what happens when this breakthrough sparks a mysterious disease?

Devoted to his belief in the power of science, renowned physicist Dr. Alek Spray is dismayed that his Project Z, meant to benefit the world, could have such a devastating outcome. Alek's invention is causing a wide range of neurological problems. Much like the illness once called Havana Syndrome, it impacts the brain. Alek and the woman he loves, Special Agent Gabi Stebbens, scramble for a solution to this neurological pandemic, only to discover that the cure could prove deadly in the wrong hands. Alek's nemesis, General Wu, the leader of a Chinese crime syndicate bent on world domination, sees Alek's solution as a new weapon. Alek must find a way to stop the unintended consequences of his inventions before he forever alters the course of humanity.

Dr. Gerold Yonas, a physicist and engineer, served as chief scientist for Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative, or Star Wars, project, and worked as a vice president at the Los Alamos National Laboratory counterpart, Sandia National Laboratories. His writing draws on his insider experience within the world's most secret and advanced labs, on his background in weapons and neuroscience technology, and on his experience with the complex politics of energy research and national defense.
