There Be Dragons: Navigating Life After Loss

There Be Dragons is the true story of a woman who fell off the edge of the world and how she found her way home.

For 26 years, author Marianne Simon lived and loved, raised a family, and looked forward to a future of travel and adventure. But when her husband died suddenly during a simple surgery, she fell…

Into an abyss of grief and loss, loneliness and fear. Tumbling and trembling with no seeming way out.

But slowly, through writing and dance and endless tears offered to the ocean, she found her way to a new story, a different story. One she never could have imagined.

Shared as a collection of poetry, personal stories and metaphor, There Be Dragons explores the spiral that is life after loss. One step forward, two steps back, three steps sideways. Discovering that even as it all falls apart, there is still a way home.
