Very Good+ overall; rubbing/bumping to extremities, with mild red rot to leather in places; a few scuffs to leather; minor stain/soil to marbled paper covered boards; some hinges are starting, but just barely; else Fine. Nice shelf appeal; spines straight and well rounded; pages clean and bright throughout. Third free page of vol 10 has owner name and date: "Harry W. Buckingham, Dec 25, 1883." Bound in 3/4 red calf over marbled paper; marbled endpapers; all edges marbled; 5 raised bands to each spine. Binding is uniform across all volumes, but vol 1 is the 4th edition, while all the rest are 3rd edition. The spine titles denote this as the "Chiswick Shakespeare", but that seems to be a completely different edition by the same publisher. May require an increase in shipping price due to this set's size and weight.
