A former owners name and Feb 14, 1860 on the second blank page. One of the pages has a 2" corner torn at the bottom. The piece is wrinkled and dirty but is still attached. All is present and easily fixed. The neighboring tissue (for the next plate) is torn in the same manner. 924 pages with gold edges. Illustrated with engravings. Embossed brown leather with heavy raised bands (skids) on the spine. Gold lettering is bright. One minor puncture in the leather on the spine shaped as a partial half circle about 1/2" in length. No all the way through. The leather covers has some wear at the edges but is very clean and nice looking. The finish is not worn off the leather on the flat surfaces of the covers or the spine. A beautiful book.
