Leather boards with gilt titles/volume number on the spine. The external condition of the book is sound but with some creasing at the edges and corners; as well as rubbing and fraying in places. This is an ex library book so there is a sticker at the base of the spine, a library plate on the front pastedown but other than this the library paraphernalia is confined to the occasional discrete embossed symbol (see towards the top of the title page image) and pencil codings/scribblings (image). Tight binding - hence restricted internal images. The pages are mildly to moderately tanned with occasional spotting; more evident on the preliminary and final ones. Pagination: the nine plays are individually paginated/8vo. Printed on laid paper. NB the publication date is a presumed date and not one that features in the book. Proceeds to Amnesty International.
