Whittinghain's Edition. Volume 3 only. The boards are shelf worn with knocked corners and a chipped spine. The block is secure Fading ink signature from a previous owner on the front end page. Small sticker covering the date, which is 1814. Pages are slightly wavy, but there are no other inscriptions or annotations. Excellent candidate for rebinding. JHK. Chapter 1 trades out of three premises that are all in the Johannesburg area. Our emphasis is providing quality books at highly competitive prices. A large (and continuously growing) selection of our books are listed on various websites on the internet.
We post on a daily basis to all parts of the world. All our books are parcelled in tissue paper, bubble wrap, card board and strong brown paper. If the book has a dust jacket it is provided with a protective cellophane sleeve. We supply a tracking number on every parcel that we post.
We specialise in Modern First Editions, Rhodesiana, Africana and other rare and out of print books. We are always looking to buy interesting and unusual books and libraries in Johannesburg and Cape Town. We are prepared to travel within the greater Johannesburg and Cape Town area if the quantity warrants it.
