To Draw Closer to God: A Collection of Discources

The Lord said to Joseph Smith, "Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock and it shall be opened unto you." Elder Henry B. Eyring was sustained as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 1, 1995, and ordained an apostle on April 6, 1995. He has also served as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and as first counselor in the Presiding Bishopric. From 1971 to 1977 he was president of Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho), and he has also served as commissioner and deputy commissioner of education for the Church Educational System. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and his master's degree and doctorate from Harvard University. He and his wife, Kathleen Johnson Eyring, are the parents of six children.
