About the Author

Mike Chinn has, over the years, published over seventy short stories and scripted a few comic strips. He edited SWORDS AGAINST THE MILLENNIUM and three volumes of THE ALCHEMY PRESS BOOK OF PULP HEROES for The Alchemy Press. His first Damian Paladin collection, THE PALADIN MANDATES, was short-listed for the British Fantasy Award in 1999; a second collection, WALKERS IN SHADOW, was published by Pro Se Productions in 2017. Pro Se also published a revised and extended (by 10,000 words, all new) PALADIN MANDATES in 2020. Chinn sent Sherlock Holmes to the Moon in VALLIS TIMORIS (2015 Fringeworks), and has two short story collections in print: GIVE ME THESE MOMENTS BACK (2015 The Alchemy Press) and RADIX OMNIUM MALUM (2017 Parallel Universe Publications). In 2018 Pro Se published his first Western, REVENGE IS A COLD PISTOL, while THE GRIFFON, part of the same imprint's LEGACY series and due shortly, will reimagine Arch Whitehouse's classic 1930s pulp adventure character, bringing her (this is the 21st century after all) right up to date.The submarine USS Oswin first sailed in the Damian Paladin story "Cradle of the Deep" in issue one of the reborn STARTLING STORIES magazine (2021); Captain Bannon and Commander Munrow will return.
