It spaces out its content into a Preface and two main sections: Ornamental Art, which surveys the evolution of decoration—from early savage marks to Egyptian, Greek, Byzantine, Renaissance, and Modern ornament—and asserts decoration as a core element of modern manufacturing and education; and the Practical part, which constitutes the heart of the Industrial Drawing Series. The latter introduces Cabinet Perspective as a simple, hands-on method for producing accurate, multi-view representations of solids, surfaces, and patterns, enabling copying from prepared ruled papers and enabling pattern design. The book includes Drawing-Book Nos. I through IV, covering elementary drawing, straight and curved lines, plane and curved surfaces, cabinet and isometric perspectives, shading, and architectural applications. It also provides isometric drawing appendices, measurement systems, exercises, and numerous sample problems for classroom use.
