A scarce large-format collection of Remington's iconic frontier and cavalry drawings capturing the spirit of the American West. Provenance is book was a gift and part of Tiffany & Co, Fifth Avenue's Designing And Engraving Department. The Half Title page (blank page) is torn with a piece missing and was most likely where the author had signed the book (see photos). Features his masterful pen and wash illustrations depicting cowboys, soldiers, and Native Americans. A foundational work of Western art. Provenance is book was part of Tifany's Design and Engraving Department (inventory sticker) and a gift from Mr. J.C. Moore in 1932. JC Moore's father was a co-founder of Tiffanys. This was a direct purchase from a retired Tiffany Art Director in the 1980s.
