Evana Maggiore is an internationally recognized professional image consultant and feng shui practitioner.
A former fashion retailer, she has always been on the cutting edge. In 1981, she introduced the innovative concept of "color analysis" to customers of her chain of women's fashion boutiques by offering in-store "seasonal" color consultations. Once analyzed, clients could then shop for their most flattering clothing and accessories in Maggiore's artfully-arranged, color-coordinated stores.
In 1989, Maggiore closed her retail business to concentrate on private fashion and image consulting. She became active in the Association of Image Consultants International(AICI), serving as New England Chapter President, editor of AICI's newsletter, Image Update, and as AICI's first International Vice-President of Member-Communications.
In 1996, Maggiore, became one of the first graduates of Terah Kathryn Collins' (author of the Western Guide to Feng Shui) The Western School of Feng Shui. Incorporating this ancient practice into her consulting business, Maggiore began to witness the power of the energetic link between environment and being. Realizing that clothing is the body's most intimate environment, she adapted Feng Shui techniques to apply to wardrobe and personal appearance. Her ground-breaking 1998 book, Dressing the Whole Person, Nine Ways to Create Harmony & Balance in Your Wardrobe (& Prosperity in Your Life!)is the first ever published on this subject.
In 1999, she teamed with friend and image associate, Louise Elerding, to write a coordinating workbook--Formulas for Dressing the Whole Person--and to institute the world's first professional Fashion Feng Shui Facilitator Training Program in order to build an international network of holistic image consultants.
Maggiore was recently awarded the image industry's highest accolade--the IMMIE (Image Maker's Merit of Industry Excellence) Award for Innovation, for her development of the concept of "Fashion Feng Shui."
A Professional Member of AICI, she also belongs to The Fashion Group International and International Feng Shui Guild.
