About the Author: Dr Lisa Dorn is Director of the Driving Research Unit, Human Factors Group, at Cranfield University. She is also an invited member of the UK Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Chartered Psychologist and member of the International Association of Applied Psychology: Traffic and Transportation Psychology Division. Dr Dorn has published a number of journal papers on driver behaviour, driver stress and risk and is a regular contributor to the public debate at conferences and in the national media on the psychology of driving. Currently, Dr Dorn is working with major organisations such as Arriva Passenger Services Ltd UK and Europe and the UK Home Office to improve driver training. Recently, Dr Dorn has been involved in research for the UK Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions (DTLR) on driver fitness and health.
