Synopsis
DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE LANE is the collection of adventures of a young wife and mother of two, who embarked on a 30-year career in the auto industry in 1977. Pat Schuch’s anecdotes describe her struggles and successes adapting to the predominantly male working environments of the factory floor and the management offices, as well as her family challenges in a dual-career household. These stories provide encouragement for both women and men who are striving to advance in their occupations while nurturing the important relationships in their lives. At the end of each chapter, the author’s “Pearls from Pat” reinforce the effective strategies she’s discovered along the way.
