Drones

Against the backdrop of an increasingly dynamic world driven by rapid digital innovation and technological advances, drones are becoming prolific within society. Andy Miah delivers in this book a comprehensive analysis of the wide-reaching applications of drones, as well as a critical interrogation of the social, cultural, and moral issues that they provoke. He asks: are drones indicative of a world in which humanity is rapidly losing control of technology? Or do drones simply reveal the next iteration in human/machine symbiosis? Delving into philosophical discussions about the implications of drone technology, this book also shines a light on the real-world applications, complications and innovative potential which might be posed by a world in which drones are commonplace in our daily lives.
