Drowning Hate (Paperback or Softback)

The author of DIVING CATCH and BEST SHOT FORWARD, Gregory Saur presents a stunning new novel about the power of friendship and how working together with love and understanding is unstoppable, no matter the odds.

HATE HAS NO BOUNDARIES...

It was to be the perfect summer for the rising fourth graders of South Burbanks County. Everything changes when racial strife and greed threaten their community. It will take a special group of kids to drown the hate. Evil lurks in the shadows. The perfect summer is about to turn into the perfect nightmare.

Playing baseball, or hanging out at their houses, George and Kaden are almost always together. The same could be said about Micah and Delvin. Unfortunately, the pairs of best friends share one thing in common: the mutual dislike between George and Micah.

George and Kaden have light skin. Micah and Delvin have dark skin. This never mattered, until suddenly it did. With Jeremiah stuck in the middle, the boys battle and bicker until things get out of hand. Suddenly, the boys are painfully thrust into the world of grown-ups, a place where the color of skin is only overshadowed by the value of money.

When a desperate teacher schemes to strike it rich, she unleashes an evil plot that quickly spirals out of control. Stopping it would take a miracle. Unfortunately, any miracle must first drown out a whole lot of hate. The boys will have to put aside their differences to have any hope of making this happen.

Led by the mysterious masked D-Man, evil will stop at nothing. Drowning hate is only the beginning; if the boys are not careful, it could just be their last summer ever.

Gregory Saur lives mainly in Virginia but continues to visit his imagination daily. The most relaxing time of his adult life was spent overnight in the hospital having his appendix removed-this is why this book has no appendix. It was removed. You will find him mostly at home, but his mind... who knows? It could be anywhere. If you happen to find it, please return it. He may need it one day. If you find his appendix, you can keep it. He's been assured it is not needed.
