The Drum Primer Book with Audio CD by Tim Wimer is the designed for the beginning drummer. Starting on the snare drum, it concentrates on stick control, counting and playing rhythms, and correct technique. You will then move to the full drum kit, showing in detail several rhythm patterns, fills, and learn about playing along with a full band. This course also features a complete section on assembling and tuning the drum kit, complete with photos illustrating each step. The included audio CD plays all the musical examples in the book and features a full band (bass, guitar, & keyboards) on five songs.

About the Author
Tim Wimer began drumming during the late 1970's in his school band program. Since then, he has played in rock, pop, country, jazz, blues, and orchestral bands, including the 82nd Airborne Division Band where he served as a paratrooper and musician. Tim has written several instructional courses including Introduction to Drums Video , Drum Primer Book, Drum Styles Book, and Guide to Snare Drum Rudiments Video. He currently lives in Roanoke, Virginia, where he teaches privately and works with school band programs.
