The Drum Styles Book with Audio Access by Tim Wimer is designed for the intermediate drummer who is looking to expand their playing styles. This course teaches many styles of music such as rock, blues, reggae, jazz, and latin. Each style is taught by building a basic beat, one instrument at a time, going through several variations on the basic beat, and adding drum fills for that particular style. This course includes online access to many audio tracks with examples of each style where the student plays along with a full band.

About the Author

Tim Wimer began drumming during the late 1970's in his school band program. Since then, he has played in rock, pop, country, jazz, blues, and orchestral bands, including the 82nd Airborne Division Band where he served as a paratrooper and musician. Tim has written several instructional courses including Drum Primer Book with DVD, Drum Styles Book, and Guide to Snare Drum Rudiments DVD. He currently lives in Roanoke, Virginia, where he teaches privately and works with school band programs.
