About the Author: Terry Reksten (1942-2001) was born in England, grew up in Vancouver and was educated at the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria. In 1985 she was named an Honorary Citizen of the City of Victoria in recognition of her writing and her work in heritage preservation.
