The Dying Sky

-The Wander- Where must I go to find my life Must I go left upon the path of weeping willow trees and frosty grass or is it right along the cliff, on the edge of the darkness? Be not deceived, my tale is not one of two cities that escapes my pages and wanders into your heart It is of a broken record never knowing when to stop just repeating and repeating. So is my life somewhere amidst the fluffy clouds or simply buried under the mighty sea? I cannot know.... But silently I long for it to be hidden in the grooves of your fingers, and within the chambers of your heart..

Loose Strings..
My life is lived counting
each word you write
storing them away
to visit again later,
and listening for your
voice; a whisper even,
that I may treasure.
My life is spent
numbering your footsteps;
avoiding catching your eye
but dying inside
that I didn't even try.
My life is just folded patterns;
day layered on day,
almost the same,
but never quite:
Am I a hitch in your breath
on the eleventh of May,
a sag to your step
in the middle of June;
You a story unfolding
beneath my gaze. .
Except
I watch now
out of love
an addiction
and I wonder
where it changed
how it evolved
Into this need -
this hunger
When did my pure
and passionate love
twist so mercilessly into this mockery
of all that I once felt;
a mirror image darkened by the night
and shaded in with silence .
how did I lose the reasons so true?
Now I breathe your breaths
and step within your steps;
I follow as
a shadow;
I'll always stay
wordlessly present
