E-Learning and Virtual Science Centers addresses an aspect of Web-based education that has not attracted sufficient attention in the international research literature – that of virtual science centers, the cyberspace annex of traditional science centers. It is the first book to be published on the rapidly advancing field of science education. Dr Leo Tan Wee Hin is Director of the National Institute of Education and Professor of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University. Prior to this he was Director of the Singapore Science Center. He has a Ph.D in marine biology from the University of Singapore. Dr R. Subramaniam is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Education in Nanyang Technological University. Prior to this he was Acting Head of Physical Sciences at the Singapore Science Center. He has a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Salford.
