THE EFFECT: can we survive (Effect - surviving after a comet hit)

On Friday the 13th in April 2029, the asteroid named 99942 Apophis, also known as 2004 MN4 will pass so close to the earth that it will actually be closer to the surface of our planet than some satellites. Some projections actually place it directly between the moon and the earth during this pass. What happens to the earth because of this? Will our calculations be accurate or will we experience some once in a millennium event that will alter our course of history forever? The world depicted here after ‘The Effect’ is that post 2029 world. It is changed forever by an event that was far from human control or expectation. Join these ‘survivors’ as they find a way to exist in a world that truly ended their former lives while still preserving their will to live. This book is the FIRST IN A SERIES that deals with the human will to survive in the face of unbelievable destruction and great personal peril. It gives us a chance to look at an event that may actually play out in our own lifetime and see how people might deal with the aftermath. It explores the possibilities of a world changed by events that were forced upon the population of the world by powers far greater than our own. It also demonstrates just how powerful our will to survive can be.No one in this group of survivors will ever experience the world the same and no one born afterward will ever understand the ‘old world’. Come with us as we pass from the world of spacecraft and supersonic aircraft to a world that is completely different.
