Third printing (as stated upon copyright page; first published September 1925). 210 pages. Hardcover: H 19.25cm x L 13.25cm. Dust jacket with morbidly wonderful color pictorial front panel albeit uncredited; dj rubbed, soiled, and well foxed; shallow chipping at spine and flap fold ends; other nicks and short tears; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Black cloth with orange stamping to spine and front board. Some foxing spots to reddish-purple top edge; toning and foxing to fore-edge and bottom edge; strong foxing/toning to endpapers; non-authorial five-line ink gist inscription on front free endpaper; pages 88-89 toned from laid-in brittle July 1940 Memphis Commercial Appeal newspaper clipping with Channing Pollock essay; a few scattered foxing spots to interior pages which otherwise remain fairly clean. Binding is firm. A very good- copy in a good+ dust jacket.
