ESL Activities For Beginners Book 1: Activities For Learning English

ESL Activities Book 1 provides 5 interactive activities for Teen-Adult students. They are an important part of students’ learning process. Practicing English phrases among their friends, (who also make mistakes), helps the student to relax and learn. When we were teaching, we found that nothing brightened up the classroom as much as a fun activity. These activities will make teaching and learning much more pleasant and rewarding. This book includes, group discussion of a picture, role-cards where students find a lover and describe him or her, using an identity the students find a friend and answer questions, using descriptions the students write role-plays to perform in class.

Daisy and George Stocker have been involved with ESL since 1990. They have taught English or given workshops in Mexico, Brazil Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Hong Kong, Nepal and India. They are the authors of the "Learning English With Laughter" series of textbooks that make up a full curriculum for children and adults. As the name implies, we believe that students learn English better when they are relaxed, and practicing their skills with other students. Their curriculum is being used in schools all around the world.
