Are you staring at your ESP32 board wondering where to even begin? Searching through scattered tutorials that assume you already know what you are doing? Downloading code that works but leaves you with no idea why — so the moment something breaks, you are completely stuck?
You are not alone — and this book was written specifically for you.
ESP32 Projects For Beginners is the complete, step-by-step guidebook that takes you from zero experience to confidently building real, working IoT devices — without the confusion, the jargon, or the frustration of piecing together information from dozens of different sources. Whether you have never programmed a microcontroller in your life or you have dabbled with Arduino and want to take a serious leap forward, this is the one resource that will get you there.
Here Is What You Will Find Inside:
- A True Beginner's Foundation — Built the Right Way No assumptions. No prerequisites beyond basic computer literacy. From the very first chapter, you will install and configure both the Arduino IDE and MicroPython in Thonny, understand exactly what each pin on the ESP32 does, and upload your first working program — all before you touch a single sensor. The foundation is solid because everything else is built on it.
- Five Hands-On Starter Projects That Teach Real Skills Before connecting to WiFi or the cloud, you will build five complete, functional projects from scratch: a traffic light simulator with pedestrian crossing logic, a melody doorbell, an automatic night light with hysteresis, a digital dice on a 7-segment display, and a potentiometer-controlled fan speed controller. Each one teaches a distinct skill pattern you will rely on for every advanced project that follows.
- Complete Sensor Integration — Ten Sensors, Every Communication Protocol Learn to read temperature and humidity from a DHT22, measure distance with an ultrasonic sensor, detect motion with a PIR, monitor soil moisture, track barometric pressure and altitude with a BMP280, measure air quality with an MQ-135, monitor AC power consumption with a PZEM-004T, and read GPS coordinates from a NEO-6M — each with wiring diagrams, full code, and explanations of why every line does what it does.
- Professional Display Mastery: LCD and OLED Projects Go beyond the Serial Monitor. Program 16×2 LCD screens and SSD1306 OLED displays to show live sensor data, custom icons, animated sequences, scrolling text, and multi-page rotating dashboards. Build a standalone indoor weather station and a real-time parking distance sensor — projects that work independently, without a computer attached.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
