Born in Romania in 1933, Sorel Etrog immigrated to Canada in 1963 and quickly established himself as one of North America's pre-eminentsculptors. With illustrations of works from all the major stages of the artist's career, a text by the distinguished critic Pierre Restany, as well as commentaries by the artist, this monograph is the most comprehensive ever published on Sorel Etrog.

About the Author
The Author Pierre Restany studied art history in Italy, Ireland, and France, where he was born in 1930. One of the leading theoreticians of the Parisian art scene, he was a founding member of the Nouveau Realisme in 1960. One of the world's most respected authorities on contemporary art he is the author of numerous works including "Dani Karavan" (Prestel, 1992).
