THE EVOLUTION OF HUMAN VALUES: DECODING CONSCIOUSNESS FOR THE MODERN WORLD (The ValCoRE™ Series)

We are living through one of the most complex periods in human history.

Institutions are under pressure.
Political divisions are intensifying.
Technology is accelerating faster than societies can adapt.

Across the world, people feel the same tension. Something fundamental is shifting, yet it is difficult to explain why.

The answer lies beneath the surface of politics, culture, and conflict.
Human values themselves are evolving.

ValCoRE™: The Evolution of Human Values introduces a powerful framework for understanding how value systems shape behaviour, leadership, institutions, and societies. Building on decades of research in values psychology and systems thinking, the ValCoRE™ model explains why modern systems are experiencing increasing instability and what capacities are required to navigate this new era.

At the centre of the framework are four stabilising capacities:

Values
What we hold as meaningful.

Consciousness
Awareness without collapse.

Resilience
Stability without rigidity.

Evolution
Movement without abandonment.

Together, these capacities explain why individuals, organisations, and nations either fracture under pressure or remain coherent in the face of complexity.

Inside this book you will discover:

• Why value systems now collide rather than evolve sequentially
• Why modern institutions struggle to maintain legitimacy
• How leaders misread complexity and unintentionally accelerate instability
• The capacities required to hold complex systems together
• What the next evolution of human values may demand from us

This is not simply a theory of development.

It is a practical lens for understanding the forces shaping our time and the leadership required to navigate them.

For readers interested in leadership, psychology, systems thinking, social change, and the future of human development, ValCoRE™ offers a map for understanding the world as it is becoming.

The future will not be defined by the systems we build.

It will be defined by our capacity to hold them together.
