About the Author

Living and working in Manhattan, New York, in my mid- to late-twenties, I had my share of drug dealers on the streets presenting me with various temptations. I suppose I should feel lucky that I never got into any real trouble with them, knew how to interact with them, and they even became friendly acquaintances on occasion. Maybe this is why I thought it would be a good idea to write a comedic script about just this. And, of course, I expanded on that premise by adding a twist or two. From a comedy, it became a horror comedy, and onto a creature feature script. It has had much interest in the past. In fact, one Producer’s hired Reader in California felt compelled to call me about the script to tell me how very much he enjoyed it. We both agreed that perhaps even cable television wasn’t ready for this type of subject matter at the time, but he thought it should be produced. Alas, he was not the decision-maker. It was held for consideration for a time, but then the time passed. Such is the usual story of script writers waiting for their big break. I do hope that whomever reads this idea for a low-budget script at the very least gets a kick out of the humor that can actually be found when you take a serious subject and twist it sideways. Perhaps some of you out there have actually encountered such a drug as “Exotic Shake.”
