Jerry Sweeney is a transplanted New Yorker living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. His interests revolve around the arts in America, especially its literature, dance companies and classical music. He is blest with three children and seven grandchildren.

Sweeney, mesmerized by the American Epiphany that was the 1893 Columbian Exhibition and the amazing story of his family's roots in Iowa, undertook the writing of a seven-novel series depicting the struggles and joys of one family journeying through the 20th Century
