Tan printed wraps show a half-inch tear to the top edge of the front cover near the spine, with nicks to the paper over the head and foot of the spine and a further nick over the spine about one inch from the foot. Light bumping increasing to edges and corners, with mild to moderate overall toning. Binding tight, interior clean and unmarked, the color frontispiece bright. The original 1969 University of Colorado Studies monograph cataloguing the Earl H. Morris Memorial Pottery Collection at the University of Colorado Museum, later expanded and reissued in 1978 under the title Anasazi Pottery. Robert H. and Florence C. Lister present a selection of prehistoric Southwestern vessels assembled by the archaeologist Earl Halstead Morris (1889-1956), arranged by cultural period and region across the San Juan, Little Colorado, Casas Grandes, Mimbres, and Middle Gila areas of the Four Corners country. Illustrated with a color frontispiece of a Puerco black-on-red pitcher, numerous black-and-white photographs of Basket Maker and Pueblo pottery with catalogue data, two regional maps, and a section on miniature specimens.
