From the Introduction: 'Nowrojee wrote with finesse…you can tell that he lingered over each line, each verse, caressing the words until they carried the right weight. In this collection there are deep, heart-wrenching reflections on social justice, violence, and political chicanery. There are also light-hearted [offerings]. Through his literary exploits, Nowrojee tried to make us better people, to make Kenya a better place.
