How On Earth Did I Get Here?: Defining Moments & Divine Appointments

When James H. Willis III was only fifteen years old, family circumstances left him without the only home he’d ever known. Homeless, on his own, he wasn’t sure what to do; he just knew he had to survive. He grabbed what he could carry on his bike and headed for the woods.

Willis spent the next part of his life living in a tree, never giving up hope. He spent every day attending school and working. Despite the lack of a support system, Willis persevered. His strong spirit and unwillingness to give up helped him get through the next years, but that wasn’t enough. There was still something missing from his soul.

At twenty-three, Willis experienced another important and powerful transformation. He heard that God loved him unconditionally. Willis chose to follow God, and it completely changed his life. He learned to listen to the Lord’s voice and trust that God had a plan for him.

In How on Earth Did I Get Here? Willis recounts his amazing journey, from tree to triumph. He gives insight and advice you can use on your own spiritual journey. His “Seven Stepping Stages with the Savior” will help you form a stronger relationship with God.
