Grosset & Dunlap, 1922, hardcover  Includes several b/w plate illustrations.Very rare and highly collectible edition of this science fiction "lost world" type classic. Cover is somewhat loose, and has wear and color loss along edges, color loss spotting on front cover, splotches on back cover. Inside front and back covers have some areas where tape has been removed, book store address stamp, wear and paper loss near spine. Inside back cover has glue residue where a library card pocket (?) has been removed. First interior page is grey on edges. Interior pages are intact and appear to be complete. Age spots on pages 42-43, and a few pages have light dog-ear creases. Includes several b/w plate illustrations.
