The attributions and dates are no longer reliable, but we do know the rugs predate 1882. The attributions are Sarakhs, Shiraz, Bagdad, Mashad, Kurdistan, Gherous, Afganistan, modern Indian, Alcaraz, Mongolian, Polish and Eastern. Both the color plates and notes have bled through onto the facing blank page.
