Original decorative cloth. 81pp with 2 folding maps (Russo-Turkish Seat of War; Europe). Covers near fine with light dusting, bumping to corners, and chipping to spine ends with minor loss. Pages near fine and clean, lightly tanned. The first map has a couple of short tears and small holes to intersections, the second has a couple of longer tears along folds. This work was published around the time of the Russo-Turkish War and increasing imperial rivalry between Britain and Russia with the decline of the Ottoman Empire.
