No One's Easy Daughter: Our Journeys of Transformation [Paperback] Mary H. Ber

No One's Easy Our Journeys of Transformation , originally conceived as a documentary record of a way of life passing from existence, developed into a mosaic, a shared memoir of thirty-nine women who 'took the veil' together as Franciscan Novices. Some are still Sisters; others followed different life paths yet remain intimately connected because of those early years spent together. These women who met in the 1950s have continued to share their spiritual development and hunger for the great meaning and mysteries of life with one another. This and their wide range of beliefs and experiences give the book its profundity. Here read various kinds of deeply lived spiritual journeys told through the intermingling of stories, poetry, and Glimpses of the Sacred. These journeys include involvements in the social, political and spiritual movements of the past 60 years. Ultimately this vibrant and inspiring narrative is the story of the Divine drawing one group of women beyond themselves into the heart of miracle and mystery. In the wondrous ways of inner alchemy, it invites readers into their own transformative journeys.
