About the Author

My musical education began in 1987 with my guitar teacher a 1978 Musicians Institute Graduate. Then I graduated from Musicians Institute in 1995. During my education at MI I was focused on becoming a more versatile player learning jazz, blue's, funk and rock. In the time I was at MI I hade the privilege of being trained by some of the best players in the world such as Scott Henderson and Joe Dioreo just to name a few. I started teaching private lessons, gigged in several bands and worked on many recording projects in the San Francisco bay area. Over time teaching students I developed this book and now you can enjoy leaning from this handy guide.
