Product Description: Half My Size with the Ridiculously Big Salad is your go-to 6-week meal plan with recipes and shopping lists to help you implement the way of eating that has been critical in driving weight loss success in the community of Eat Like a Bear!, led by author Amanda Rose, Ph.D. The recipes are based on a one-meal-a-day ketogenic meal plan that Rose implemented for her own weight loss in 2017 (down 140 pounds from 280). This approach later drove the success of thousands of community members. The community made the Yahoo News in the summer of 2023 for having 200 people who lost at least 100 pounds. This Eat Like a Bear! intermittent fasting approach IS low in carbohydrates and ketogenic but is also its own distinct framework — the Ridiculously Big meal framework with predictable “layers” to the salad (the lettuce/greens, the dressing, the protein, and the other add-ons). The book teaches you how to build those layers in a simple way that keeps you from being burdened by counting calories and carbohydrates. Rose has counted for you. The book includes a dozen featured salad recipes with hundreds (thousands?) of variations that help you mix and match and build the meal to suit yourself. At the end of the day, in the long game of weight loss and weight maintenance, we each need to have the tools to adapt these meals to meet our own needs. To that end, these recipes are highly adaptable to dairy-free and even vegan meals. This is the Ridiculously Big Salad book that made the national news in 2020 and nearly broke the U.S. Postal Service because it could not be listed on Amazon. Ten thousand books were shipped out of a rural post office with only 207 people in the ZIP code. Amazon has finally verified this account and has allowed us to sell here. Do not let the small number of reviews make you skeptical of the great social proof behind this book. Let this humble little book change your life too.
