Eating My Way Through Life: Family Stories of Talented Cooks & Tasty Food

This spirited collection of stories is a nostalgic glimpse of growing up in the 1950s and 60s when families spent Sundays together and mothers cooked and baked from scratch. O’Brien’s family were foodies long before the term came into our vernacular. From the moment she bit into Grandma’s warm Toll House cookies, delectable food played a prominent role in her life. Like most of her family, she became a splendid cook too, trying out new recipes, loving to bake and hosting guests, just like the generations before her.

Eating My Way Through Life, Family Stories of Talented Cooks & Tasty Food captures O’Brien’s appreciation and love for her family and the remarkable food they made and ate together. Throughout this book, readers can gain insight into the lives of these passionate cooks and their enjoyment of delicious food.
