Print on Demand. This book follows the artistic journey of sculptor Adolf Eberlein (1847-1914) as he established himself among the most prominent German sculptors of his time. The author traces Eberlein's development from an early fascination with sacred motifs to the more secular themes for which he became renowned. This book explores Eberlein's profound understanding of German history and culture and his ability to bring its characters and events to life through sculpture. The author considers the influence of Italian masters and the work of Reinhold Begas on Eberlein's artistic development and examines his dynamic portrayal of figures engaged in a wide range of activities, from moments of quiet contemplation to scenes of dramatic narrative. The book also delves into Eberlein's commitment to public art, with detailed analysis of some of his most notable monuments and sculptures, including the Kaiser Wilhelm I Monument in Sieghartstein. This book offers valuable insights into the life and work of one of Germany's most important sculptors, providing a comprehensive overview of his künstlerische Lebensweg artistic journey, and demonstrating how his work embodied the artistic and cultural spirit of his time. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

For this reason, we kindly ask that you double-check the title, edition, and your shipping details before placing an order.
