Echolocation : And Other Stories

It’s hard being the kid who moves every few years. Combine that with dysfunctional family dynamics, a natural disaster, and parent-child role reversal, and you might just snap. Or you might write your way out of it all, hurl yourself into overdue library books, googly-eyed alter egos, rock bands in dusty basements, mountain trails, and anywhere else you can find love.

Echolocation And Other Stories is an experimental coming-of-age collection of vignettes that explores the making of an identity, focusing on a scattered creative who reinvents herself over a dozen times.

Stories that first appeared in literary publications include: “Lenny” (Jersey Devil Press), “Whoopie Pie” (Bird’s Thumb), “Shades of Nude” (Bayou Magazine), and “Crap Apples” (Better Than Starbucks).

I hope Echolocation is a soft, loving place for those looking to learn themselves deeply in a world constantly demanding their attention and production. Enjoy a few laughs, a cry, and a hearty congratulations for making it this far.
