Eco-design: Principles, approach and case study

In a world faced with the urgency of climate change and the depletion of resources, Ecodesign: Principles, approach and case studies is a useful and essential tool for starting to design sustainable products and services. This book explores the fundamentals of eco-design, a systemic approach that integrates environmental impacts right from the design phase, based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and standards such as ISO 14062. Through concrete strategies - choosing sustainable materials, optimizing processes, promoting the circular economy - it illustrates how to reduce the ecological footprint while stimulating innovation and competitiveness. A case study of an eco-designed jean demonstrates its practical application, from raw materials to end-of-life. Aimed at engineering, design and management students, this book combines scientific rigor and concrete examples to train tomorrow's professionals in responsible design, a key lever for a sustainable future.
