Economical Production Technique for High Power Density SOFC

This book investigates an easy and economical way of production of SOFC with high power density. The key factor is to use a protective layer which is LDC, between Nickel containing anode and LSGM electrolyte. According to the coating technique, it is essential to apply multiple sintering for the LSGM and LDC layers instead of co-sintering. Co-sintering result in undesired LaNiO3 phase between LDC and LSGM because of the surface diffusion of Nickel ions until full densification.

Cinar Oncel was born in 1975 in Ankara, Turkey. He received his BS degree in 2000 from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department of METU, Ankara. He received his MSc (2003) and PhD (2009) degrees from Materials Science and Engineering Program of Sabanci University, Istanbul.
