Fifth printing of the first (1948) edition. xx, 622 pp, in original green cloth, lacking dust jacket. Internally sound and clean. Boards are rubbed at edges and have light scuffing and soiling. Paul Anthony Samuelson (1915-2009) won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1970. This book was "one of the most widely used college textbooks in the history of American education" and was "the nation's best selling textbook for nearly thirty years," according to Samuelson's New York Times obituary (December 13, 2009).
